Foundation Repair in Boerne, TX

Boerne is a town of newer houses, and that shapes any search for foundation repair in Texas here. The median home in Boerne was built in 2006. Few were built before 1960, and most date from 1990 or later. Newer houses are more often slabs than pier and beam, as a rule of thumb the census does not record.

The soil under them is only partly the stiff kind. Of 25 points around the centre of Boerne, 8 sat on soil rated high or very high for shrink-swell, and 6 of those were very high. Doss was the commonest series at 9 points, followed by Brackett and Krum at 4 each. Where the clay is rated that way, it expands after rain and tightens as it dries, so a slab can lift in places. Two of the 25 land points sit inside the floodplain on FEMA's flood map.
